The Lines series represents new work based on minimalist landscapes of North America by Japanese artist Kiriko Shirobayashi. From serene mountain ranges to barren wastelands, each landscape glows with subtle color and minimal information with hardly a trace of human or animal presence. According to Shirobayashi, the horizon line motif represents a universal connection between the varied terrain that she explored while traveling across the U.S.
